TVS has launched a new Racing Edition of the Apache RTR 160 2V at a price of Rs 1,28,720. Bookings for the same are currently underway at all TVS dealerships across the country. The Racing Edition sits on top of the top-spec RTR 160 with dual disc brakes and Bluetooth connectivity which costs Rs. 1,27,220 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
The key highlight of the Apache RTR 160 Racing Edition is its unique Matte Black colour scheme with grey graphics and racing red stripes. This is complemented by carbon fibre treatment on body panels enhancing its sporty appeal. Building on the brand’s ‘Track to Road’ philosophy, the livery on the Apache RTR 160 2V race-inspired graphics along with the Racing Edition logo. Accentuating the sporty contrast are the red-coloured spoke alloy wheels

Rest of the details are identical to the standard Apache RTR 160. In terms of features, it gets an LCD digital instrument panel that packs Bluetooth connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect, LED headlamp and taillamp and TVS’ Glide Through Technology (GTT). In addition, TVS also offers three riding modes – Sport, Urban and Rain.
Hardware configurations include a suspension setup comprising telescopic fork up front and gas-charged twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are carried out by a 270mm front petal disc and a 220mm rear petal disc brake with single-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.
Like the standard Apache RTR 160, the Racing Edition is powered by a 159.7cc single-cylinder, two-valve engine which develops 15.82 bhp and 13.85 Nm of peak torque. This motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
