Triumph launched a new derivative of the Speed 400 called the Speed T4. The British brand likes to call the latter as the “Unidentical Twin” of the former and there are good reasons for it. Meanwhile, Triumph has also updated the original Speed 400, fourteen months after it was first launched. Priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), here’s all that has changed in the updated Speed 400.
MY2025 Triumph Speed 400: New Tyres
The latest iteration of Speed 400 gets new Vredestein tyres with a fatter profile of 110/80 R17 front and 150/70 R17 rear as opposed to 110/70 R17 front and 150/60 R17 rear offered in the previous model. This has resulted in a marginal increase in wheelbase from 1377 mm to 1386 mm. In addition, the kerb weight of the bike has also increased from 176 kg to 179 kg.
To compensate for the increased wheelbase, the rake has also been sharpened marginally by 0.5 degree. The fatter tyres have also resulted in a taller stance for the Speed 400.

MY2025 Triumph Speed 400: Adjustable levers
Another key change is the addition of adjustable levers for the front brake and clutch. This comes as a welcome change that will help riders with different physical structures to adjust the levers according to their liking.
MY2025 Triumph Speed 400: Thicker seat profile
Triumph also claims to have added 10mm more padding to the single-piece seat for improved comfort for the rider as well as the pillion in long distance commutes. As a result, the seat height has increased from 790mm to 803mm. To counter this, Triumph has also stiffened the suspension by 10mm at front as well as rear with a travel of 130mm and 120mm, respectively.
MY2025 Triumph Speed 400: New colour schemes
The British motorcycle manufacturer has also added new shades to the colour palette of MY2025 Speed 400 which is now available in four colours Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, and Phantom Black. Further, Triumph has also made subtle changes to the body graphics on the tank to give the bike a fresh visual appeal.
