The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N160 has been spotted on test a few times, revealing details of the motorcycle. Now, a recent video has surfaced revealing more details about the N160, its engine, hardware, features, and more. Here’s what to expect from the new Bajaj Pulsar N160.
Platform and design
Let’s begin with looks. The new Bajaj Pulsar N160 will be based on the same platform as the older model, while also retaining the same design. The motorcycle will continue to get a sharp design language with tank shrouds, split seats, underbelly exhaust, and a single projector headlamp with DRLs on either side.
The graphics will also be retained, however, we can expect Bajaj to offer new paint schemes to give the new Bajaj Pulsar N160 a fresh look.
Engine specifications
The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N160 will also retain the same 164.82cc single-cylinder air and oil-cooled motor that makes 15.6bhp and 14.6Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. However, the engine will be tweaked to run on E20 fuel, meaning it can run on petrol with a 20 percent ethanol mix.
Hardware and equipment
The new Pulsar N160 will retain 17-inch wheels at the front and rear, telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, LED lighting, disc brakes at both ends with ABS, and more. However, the biggest change will be the addition of a new fully digital instrument cluster with phone connectivity with call and message alerts.
India launch and competition
Bajaj is expected to launch the N160 soon in India and when launched, the motorcycle maker could ask a slight premium over the current model, which has a price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom. When launched, the new Pulsar N160 will compete with the TVS Apache, Yamaha FZS, and the Hero Xtreme 160R amongst others.
