Ultraviolette has taken its next big leap by launching a new electric motorcycle named X47 Crossover. Priced at an introductory Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the X47 Crossover happens to be the first electric adventure tourer. This pricing is applicable for the first 1,000 bookings only.

Pre-bookings for the battery-powered motorcycle have commenced at a token amount of Rs 999. Buyers can register their interest for the same on the company’s official website while deliveries will begin next month. Global deliveries of the X-47 will commence in 2026. The X47 Crossover comes with many industry-first features.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Design

The Ultraviolette X47 Crossover looks like a contemporary adventure tourer with a tall stance, a sharp beak and a large flyscreen up front. The hexagonal LED headlamps, carried over from the F77 range, and the muscular faux tank with extended shrouds, lend the bike an edgy look. Similarly, the double-sided swingarm is taken from the F77 range. A floating tail section and split grab rails complete the visuals. Ultraviolette will only offer a wide range of accessories that not only enhance the bike’s utility but also make it more rugged.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Industry-first features

The X47 Crossover has become the world’s first to come with an integrated radar that offers Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which Ultraviolette calls HyperSense. The cutting-edge 77 GHz long range rear radar is capable of monitoring  a distance of up to 200 meters. The ADAS package offers safety features such as blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alert, and rear collision warning.

Along with radar sensors, the motorcycle is equipped with dual integrated cameras that also function as dash-cams. An optional dual-display setup is available, offering real-time front and rear camera feeds. Other convenience features include a 5-inch multi-function TFT display with an integrated eSIM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated  microphone, Type-C charging port, and an anti-theft mechanical mount.

Further, the X47 comes with a suite of advanced connectivity features acting as a  smart tech co-pilot during the ride and when the bike is parked. Key features of this pack include  movement, fall and towing alerts, remote lockdown, crash alerts, Delta Watch, and an anti collision warning system. In terms of electronic riding aids, Ultraviolette offers the X47 Crossover with dynamic stability control, hill hold assist, three levels of traction control, and nine levels of brake regeneration.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Hardware

Since the X47 Crossover is essentially based on the same platform as the F77 range, most of the components utilised in the former have been borrowed from the latter. Suspension duties are carried out by 41 mm inverted cartridge-type front forks and a rear mono-shock, both with preload adjustability.

Barking hardware comprises a 320mm front disc equipped with a fixed four piston caliper and sintered pads, complemented by a 230mm rear disc with a floating  piston caliper. The brakes are aided by a 10th Gen Bosch Dual-Channel ABS with switchable modes. It is also the first electric motorcycle in the country to come with radial all-terrain tyres, thus justifying its “Crossover” tag in its name. The X47 offers a generous ground clearance of 200mm.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Powertrain & Charging

Powering the Ultraviolette X47 Crossover is a 10.3kWh battery pack sending energy to an electric motor that delivers 40.2 hp (30 kW) and 100 Nm of torque. The battery claims an IDC range of up to 323 km on a single charge. As for performance, the X47 Crossover can clock a top speed of 145 kmph and  can sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.7 seconds. There are three ride modes to choose from namely Glide,  Combat and Ballistic.

Another industry-first innovation implemented by Ultraviolette in the X47 Crossover is the parallel charging technology that works in tandem with the onboard charger, therefore, doubling the combined charging power output and cutting the charging time in half. Engineered for a standard 16A AC supply, the new boost charging feature integrates advanced protection, thermal resilience, and intelligent performance, ensuring riders experience reliable and efficient charging in all conditions.
