TVS has unveiled its new RTXD4 engine at MotoSoul. The engine is a liquid-cooled motor and is the second such engine in its lineup after the 310cc engine that powers the RTR 310 and RR 310, as well as the BMW 310 triplets. Here are more details about the engine.

The new engine has a displacement of 300cc and makes 35bhp of power and 28.5Nm of torque. The engine will be paired to a six-speed gearbox, however, TVS has not revealed details about which motorcycle will get the engine. As of speculations, we can say that the upcoming TVS adventure motorcycle will be the first to be powered by the new RTXD4 300cc engine.
The engine, as per TVS, will get ride-by-wire technology, meaning it can have a host of electronic aids such as ride modes, cruise control, and more. That said, the engine is focused on offering more torque and in a linear manner, and TVS has done that with a patented deflector plus duct system.
