TVS is working on an adventure motorcycle — the RTX 300 and while the bike did not make an official debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo, there was another interesting motorcycle concept, the RTS X supermoto. The concept will eventually go into production and is expected to be launched after the RTX goes on sale. Let’s take a detailed look at what the concept features.
TVS RTS X concept — What to expect?
The motorcycle is built around a steel trellis frame, suspended by USD forks up front, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch road-biased tyres at both ends, disc brakes front and rear, and cast-alloy wheels. The motorcycle features a narrow profile, with a single- piece seat and a flat handlebar.
The overall design is minimal, with sharp lines, inline with other supermoto motorcycles such as the Ducati Hypermotard and the KTM SMC models. The design is expected to change slightly when the motorcycle is put into production, which is expected to happen soon.
Coming to the final detail, the engine. The motorcycle will draw power from the company’s new single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The 299cc unit makes 35 bhp and 29 Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle tips the scale at 144kg.
