TVS has launched the drum brake version of one of its best-sellers, the Raider 125. The new TVS Raider 125 drum brake version is priced at Rs 84,869, ex-showroom. With the launch of the drum-brake version, TVS would be able to cater to a wider audience group, who are looking for a motorcycle that has a mix of style, efficiency, and affordability.
TVS Raider 125 drum brake variant — What is it?
The TVS Raider 125 is a more affordable version of the Raider disc brake variant. The motorcycle features the same styling as its more expensive version with a disc, including the telescopic forks, alloy wheels, LED headlight with DRL, and more, while being available in two colour options: Striking Red and Wicked Black.
The drum brake version features an LCD instrument cluster and ride modes, while the seat is a single-piece unit, as opposed to the split seat design the disc brake variant gets. This will be the entry-level variant of the TVS Raider 125.
Powering the motorcycle is the same 124.8cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 11.2bhp and 11.2Nm of peak torque with the help of a 5-speed gearbox. In the segment, the TVS Raider competes with the Hero Xtreme 125R, which is also aimed at being sporty, affordable, and fuel-efficient.
