TVS Motor has decided to stop the production of the Sport ELS variant. The Sport is the entry-level motorcycle nameplate in the TVS line up and is available in two variants after axing the ELS trim. Recently, the Indian two-wheeler company launched a new variant, the Sport ES Plus, which was initially slotted below the erstwhile Sport ELS version, but now the new variant is the top model.
TVS Sport: What is it?
The Sport is a commuter motorcycle with a focus on mileage. According to TVS, its ET-Fi technology ensures that the Sport is returns an enhanced mileage of up to 15%. It has an econometer indicator, which lets the rider know that the motorcycle is on eco mode. The Sport might be an entry-level motorcycle but TVS is offering a USB charging slot and an electric starter.
The Sport’s entry-level ES variant is available in three colour options —All Black, All Grey and All Red. The Sport ES Plus, on the other hand, offers Black Blue, Black Red, White Purple and Metallic Blue. The Sport gets a modern looking headlight cowl with new graphics on the fuel tank. It a has all-black alloy wheels and blacked out components like the engine, exhaust and rear suspension coil springs.
TVS Sport: Engine Specifications and Price
Both the TVS Sport ES and ES+ are powered by a 109.7 cc Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, fuel injection, air cooled engine that produces of 8.08 bhp at 7,350 rpm and 8.7 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The TVS Sport has a wheelbase of 1,236 mm, a height of 1,080 mm, width of 705 mm, and a length of 1,950 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 175 mm, a 10 litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 112 kg.
TVS Sport ES is priced at Rs 59,881 and self-start ES Plus is available at Rs 60,881, ex-showroom.
