TVS will be expanding the Ntorq lineup by launching a new and more powerful version of the sporty scooter. Expected to break covers tomorrow, TVS recently teased a visual of the upcoming scooter. More recently, TVS shared another teaser where we get a sneak peek of the vehicle’s exhaust note. The throaty symphony is something usually not associated with scooters.

In all likelihood, the upcoming iteration of the Ntorq will get a bigger 150cc engine. This will mark TVS’ entry into the 150cc scooter segment joining the likes of Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR 175, and Hero Xoom 160. Ahead of its launch tomorrow, let us take a look at what to expect from the upcoming TVS Ntorq 150.

TVS Ntorq 150: Expected Design & Features

In the earlier teaser, TVS provided a glimpse of the redesigned headlamp cluster expected to be seen in the new Ntorq 150. The new T-shaped housing incorporates a quad-LED setup, giving the scooter a more distinctive look compared to the current Ntorq 125. Unlike its smaller sibling, the upcoming Ntorq 150 is likely to adopt a new Maxi style. It will most probably ride on 14-inch wheels at both ends, in line with its rivals.

As TVS’s flagship ICE scooter, the Ntorq 150 is expected to come loaded with advanced features. Highlights may include a fully digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, powered by TVS SmartXonnect. This system will provide functions such as call and text notifications, navigation assistance, service reminders, and more.

TVS Ntorq 150: Expected Specs & Price

While TVS hasn’t officially confirmed the engine to be utilised for the new Ntorq, we believe TVS will utilise a brand new 150cc engine. This power plant is likely to be derived from the 159.7cc unit used in the Apache range — whether it will be a 2-valve or a 4-valve unit, remains to be seen. Power output is likely to be around 14-15 bhp.

With the construction of the engine likely to be less complex than its rivals, expect TVS to price the Ntorq 150 a bit more aggressively under Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160 are priced at Rs. 1.51 lakh and Rs. 1.49 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively.
