TVS will launch a new model on August 22 and it is most likely to be the updated Jupiter. It was previously reported that TVS is looking to bring an upgraded version of the Jupiter this year. The Hosur-based has sent us an invite for a virtual launch of the same. The launch will be preceded by media rides for the updated Jupiter.
The Jupiter has been one of the highest-selling two-wheelers in India over the past decade and one of the primary breadwinners for TVS. It is available in both 110cc and 125cc avatars but we expect TVS to launch an updated version of the former next week. In the upcoming iteration, the Jupiter is expected to receive a significant overhaul over the current model.
TVS Jupiter facelift: Updates expected
It is almost certain that TVS will provide the updated Jupiter with some significant styling changes. The invite sent by the company contains a teaser image of what appears to be a sleek LED DRL which is likely to be mounted on top of the front apron. Therefore, in all likelihood, the main headlamp could shift below. This will give the scooter a completely new identity.

The new Jupiter is also expected to get new panels and redesigned tail section with different taillight assembly. We also expect the entire lighting setup to be LED at least in the top-spec variant. The seat and footboard are expected to remain flat along with a spacious underseat storage, therefore, not compromising on practicality. We might also see some new and exciting colour options on offer with the new Jupiter.
In terms of features, TVS is expected to offer a fully-digital instrument cluster which might benefit with Bluetooth connectivity and other connectivity options via the TVS SmartXonnect application in the top-spec trim. Other features expected are turn-by-turn navigation, USB charging port, and a boot light.
We don’t expect TVS to make any changes to its powertrain setup. It is expected to be powered by the 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Ecothrust Fuel injection (ET-Fi) technology which produces 7.4 bhp and 8.4Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a CVT gearbox.
Suspension setup will include telescopic front forks and coil spring with hydraulic damper at the rear. The 2024 Jupiter is expected to come with a front disc and rear drum brakes as standard. A valuable addition could be single-channel ABS.
