In the commuter segment, the Honda Activa is the leader. The scooter features a simple design, has a practical boot, a wide seat, and a wide enough floorboard to carry any extras. However, competition has always been tough, and one scooter to watch out for is the TVS Jupiter 110. TVS, after selling 6.5 million units of the Jupiter, has now launched the updated version at Rs 73,700, ex-showroom.
Let’s look at how the new TVS Jupiter compares to the segment’s best-seller, the Honda Activa in terms of features and engine specifications.
New TVS Jupiter 110 vs Honda Activa — Equipment and features
The Jupiter 110 gets a tweaked frame and continues to hold its fuel under the floorboard, while it gets telescopic front suspension, a monoshock at the rear, an optional front disc brake, an LCD instrument cluster with phone connectivity and navigation, voice assist, auto-cancelling turn indicators, follow me home headlamp, LED lighting, and a host more.
The Honda Activa 110 has been in the market for a long time now and in its current generation, the Active gets telescopic forks, drum brakes, an analogue speedometer with a digital readout display, LED lighting, and more. When compared to the TVS Jupiter, the Activa lacks features, on paper.

Both scooters are powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine mated to a CVT gearbox. The aim is to offer the best fuel efficiency, and both scooters do that. The TVS Jupiter has also seen an update to its engine, and the result of that will be in our first ride review soon.
