TVS has launched the updated version of its best-selling scooter, the Jupiter 110. It is also the country’s second best-selling scooter after the Honda Activa. We compare it with the next closest competitor, the Hero Pleasure Plus XTEC and find out how the 2024 Jupiter stacks against it.

The Jupiter comes with a 7.9 bhp 113.3 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. It is available in two versions — start-stop assist trim with 9.8 Nm and 9.2 Nm for the standard model. 

The Pleasure Plus, on the other hand, is powered by a 110.9 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with an output of 8 bhp and 8.7 Nm of torque.

The updated Jupiter 110 has the largest under-seat storage of 33 litres where two half-face helmets can be placed. It also comes with a 2-litre glove box, a USB port and a front external fuel flap. It gets some segment-first features like a ‘follow-me’ headlamp, emergency brake indicator, auto-off turn signal lamp after 20 seconds, and hazard lights. The top model offers a smart digital instrument with Bluetooth connectivity and reads outcall and SMS alerts, a ‘Find My Scooter’ feature to locate the scooter via the phone, and turn-by-turn navigation with voice assistance. 

The Hero Pleasure Plus is equipped with a semi-analogue instrument with the top variants getting Bluetooth connectivity. It sends messages and calls alerts along with the battery’s status. It also offers a USB charging slot, twin storage space and an LED light in the underseat storage. Both the scooters get side stand indicators and automatically kill the engine to avoid any accident.
