TVS recently launched the top-spec iQube ST finally in the market after showcasing it back in 2022. The iQube ST is now available in two battery pack options— 3.4kWh and 5.1 kWh battery. It goes up against the likes of Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450 Apex, Bajaj Chetak Premium, and Vida V1 Pro.

In terms of dimensions, the iQube ST is identical to its other variants barring its weight due to a larger and heavier battery pack. When compared to its competitors, the iQube ST is the shortest and narrowest among them all. On the flipside, the iQube also gets the second-most accessible seat height of 770mm, after Chetak at 760mm. The Ather 450 Apex is the lightest electric scooter in this lot.

All electric scooters named above are top of the line variants with all bells and whistles packed into the equipment. These include smartphone connectivity via dedicated smartphone app, digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and multiple riding modes. Ather, Bajaj, and Vida come equipped with Hill assist which the other two models miss out on.

Other common amenities include Geo fencing, regenerative braking, music playback, anti-theft system, LED headlights, and hazard warning system. In Chetak, most of these features are reserved for the optional TecPac package which costs an additional Rs 9,000. The Ola S1 Pro gets the best underseat storage volume of 34 litres followed by the iQube with a 32-litre storage.

As already mentioned, the iQube ST comes with two battery pack options and the 5.1 kWjh unit is the largest unit among its rivals. Interestingly, the peak single-charge range on offer in iQube is on the lower side, bettering only the Chetak Premium. However, TVS claims that the range offered in the iQube ST is the true range and the rider can positively extract the same.

On paper, however, Ola S1 Pro offers the best range of 195 km on a single charge. Interestingly, the S1 Pro also races past its rivals when it comes to performance with a top speed of 120 kmph.

It is clearly visible that Ather 450 Apex is easily the most expensive electric scooter in this space followed by the TVS iQube ST with the 5.1 kWh battery pack. The Ola S1 Pro is the most affordable in this space with a price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). In fact, the S1 Pro offers the most value for money with better features, range, and performance among all premium electric scooters.Â
