Triumph has announced a price drop for its middle-weight street naked, the Street Triple R. The Triumph Street Triple R Pure White and Silver Ice colours see a price drop of Rs 48,000 from their ex-showroom price, while the Matt Baja Orange and Crystal White shaded see a price drop of Rs 22,000.
However, three of the Street Triple RS colour options have seen a price increase. The Phantom Black, Carnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow shades have seen a price hike of Rs 14,000, while the Silver Ice colour shade sees a price reduction of Rs 12,000. The reduction and increase in price have now made the Street Triple R cost Rs 9.95 lakh onwards, ex-showroom, while the RS version costs Rs 12.21 lakh onwards.
While the Triumph Street Triple R and RS models share the same underpinnings and engine, they have some notable differences as well. The R version makes 118bhp while the RS version makes 128bhp of power, while other differences are in the form of suspension, brakes, electronics, and others.

Triumph has issued its latest statement regarding the price drop and says that the change in price was a technical glitch on the website. In an official statement, Triumph has stated:
Triumph Motorcycles would like to address recent reports regarding a price drop for the Triumph Street Triple R and Street Triple RS models. Contrary to these reports, there has been no change in the prices of these models.Â
The reported price drop was due to a glitch on Triumph Motorcycle’s official website. This technical issue has since been corrected. Triumph Motorcycles apologizes for any confusion caused by the glitch.Â
