Triumph has teased a more potent version of the Speed Triple, called the Speed Triple RX, which is set to make its global debut on May 13. The Triumph Speed Triple is the company’s flagship offering and the RX version will sit above it, making it the flagship offering. So here’s a look at what Triumph could unveil in the next few days.
Triumph Speed Triple RX — What to expect?
Going by the teaser Triumph has put up on its social media platform and on its official website, the new motorcycle seems to be a more sportier version of the Speed Triple. From the image, we can make out that the handlebar is lower — likely a clip-on, while the footpegs have been pushed back a little, and the seat has been tweaked as well.
The motorcycle is expected to get some premium parts such as suspension and braking hardware, as the teaser does not reveal many details. The motorcycle is also expected to be lighter compared to the Speed Triple RS, while it could be sold in limited numbers.
The engine department could also be unchanged, meaning the upcoming Triumph motorcycle could use the same 1160cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine that makes 180bhp and 125Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is expected to get a host of electronics that are more likely to be track-focused. More details of the motorcycle will be known in a few days, so stay tuned.
