Top 5 two-wheeler brands exported in June 2024 — Bajaj leads TVS, Honda

Here are the top five two-wheeler brands that have exported the most number of two-wheelers in June 2024.

We have seen the two-wheeler segment post growth in June 2024, along with the top-selling brands in the domestic market in the same period. Now, with India being a key manufacturing hub for multiple two-wheeler manufacturers, exports play a key role as well, and here are the top 5 two-wheeler brands that exported the most in June 2024.

Suzuki

In fifth is Suzuki, having exported 17,201 units in June 2024 compared to 17,678 units exported in June 2023, registering a YoY growth of negative 2.6 percent. At the same time, Suzuki’s domestic scooter sales saw a YoY increase of 16.6 percent, while its motorcycle sales declined.

Yamaha

Yamaha takes fourth place, having exported 21,604 two-wheelers in June 2024 compared to exporting 12,818 units in June 2023, witnessing a 68.5 percent increase compared to last year. Yamaha’s domestic two-wheeler sales saw a marginal decline, while its domestic scooter sales saw a 13 percent increase in June 2024 compared to June 2023.

Honda

Honda comes next, having exported 36,202 units in June 2024 and witnessing a YoY growth of 69.6 percent. In comparison, Honda exported 21,337 units in June 2023. As far as domestic sales are concerned, Honda’s scooter sales saw a 90 percent YoY growth while its motorcycle sales in India registered a 33 percent growth in June 2024.

TVS

TVS is yet again the second-largest exporter of two-wheelers. In June 2024, the Hosur-based company exported 66,434 units as compared to 68,568 units exported in June 2023, witnessing a YoY decline of 3 percent. In terms of domestic sales, TVS saw single-digit growth with its motorcycle sales and scooter business in June.

Bajaj

Leading two-wheeler exports is Bajaj again, having shipped 1,26,439 units in June 2024. Bajaj’s two-wheeler exports have seen a marginal YoY decline last month compared to June 2023’s exports of 1,27,357 units. Bajaj’s domestic sales of motorcycles have seen a marginal increase, however, with the launch of the world’s first CNG motorcycle, sales is expected to gain momentum.
