Here are the five most powerful electric scooters one can buy in the Indian market.

1. Ultraviolette Tesseract

Peak Power: 14.91 kW (20.1 bhp)

Launched earlier this year, Ultraviolette Tesseract tops the list of most powerful electric scooters in India. It boasts a 20.1 bhp motor, achieving a top speed of 125 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Depending on the chosen battery variant—3.5kWh, 5kWh, or 6kWh—it offers a range of up to 261 km.

Key features include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with navigation, dual-channel ABS, traction control, dynamic stability control, front and rear radars, integrated dashcams, wireless phone charging, and a spacious 34-liter under-seat storage. Deliveries are expected to commence in Q1 2026.

2. Ola S1 Pro+ Gen 2

Peak Power: 11 kW (14.75 bhp)

Priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom), Ola S1 Pro+ features an 11 kW peak power motor, achieving a top speed of 120 kmph and accelerating from 0–40 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. Equipped with a 4 kWh battery, it offers a certified range of 195 km and charges fully in 6.5 hours. Notable features include a 7-inch touchscreen display, multiple riding modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Hyper), Bluetooth connectivity, and a spacious 34-liter under-seat storage compartment.

3. TVS X

Peak Power: 11 kW (14.75 bhp)

The TVS X electric scooter is priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and delivers a top speed of 105 kmph with an 11 kW motor. It accelerates from 0–40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds. Featuring a 4.4 kWh battery, it offers a range of 140 km on a single. Premium features include a 10.2-inch TFT display, navigation, cruise control, and connected tech. Launched in August 2023, we still have no data on how many units of the TVS X have been delivered to customers till date.

4. Simple One Gen 1.5

Peak Power: 8.5 kW (11.40 bhp)

Simple Energy launched the One Gen 1.5 electric scooter in February this year. Priced at Rs 1.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), it offers an IDC-certified range of 248 km. It features an 8.5 kW motor with 72 Nm torque, achieving 0–40 kmph in 2.77 seconds and a top speed of 105 kmph. The 5 kWh battery system includes a 3.7 kWh fixed and a 1.3 kWh portable unit.

Enhanced features encompass a 7-inch TFT display, app integration, navigation, four ride modes, regenerative braking, park assist, TPMS, USB charging, and over 30 liters of under-seat.

5. River Indie

Peak Power: 6.7 kW (9.0 bhp)

Priced at Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom), the River India is designed for practicality and utility. It features a 6.7 kW motor delivering 26 Nm torque, achieving a top speed of 90 kmph and 0–40 kmph acceleration in 3.7 seconds. Its 4 kWh lithium-ion battery offers a certified range of 161 km and charges to 80% in 5 hours.

Notable features include 55 liters of storage (12L front glovebox and 43L under-seat), a 6-inch digital display, three riding modes (Eco, Ride, Rush), regenerative braking, USB charging ports, reverse assist, and LED lighting.
