Scooters in India have witnessed a unique transition, from strongly-built geared scooters to automatic geared scooters and now the advent of electric scooters. Top 10 scooters sold in Feb 2024: Activa continues domination
Honda Activa continues to dominate India’s scooter space with an overwhelming lead of over 1.2 lakh units over the next-best model. The Japanese auto giant sold 2,00,134 units of Activa in February this year. This led to a 14.7% YoY growth. The Activa is offered in 110cc as well as 125cc variants.

TVS Jupiter took the second spot with 73,860 units sold in February across the country. This resulted in a YoY jump of 37%. Like Activa, Jupiter is also available in 110cc and 125cc guises. Suzuki Access came in third with a total monthly volume of 56473 units recorded in February 2024. The 125cc scooter registered a YoY growth of 40.50%.
Top 10 scooters sold in Feb 2024: Ola S1 is best-selling e-scooter
Ola S1 became the highest-selling electric scooter in India with 33846 units sold in February 2024. Sales of the premium e-scooter almost doubled from 53891 units sold in February last year which resulted in a 90.43% YoY growth. Dio became the second Honda scooter to find itself a place on this list with a total monthly volume of 25312 units in February 2024, resulting in a 40.16% YoY increase.

TVS Ntorq recorded a volume of 24,911 units last month and registered a YoY growth of 40%. During the same month last year, the sporty 125cc scooter registered a volume of 17,773 units.
Top 10 scooters sold in Feb 2024: Burgman, Destini
Suzuki sold 17433 units of Burgman Street in India which translated to a massive 165% YoY growth. Closely following the Burgman’s heels was Hero Destini which recorded a monthly volume of 17033 units. Destini registered a monthly volume of 107%. TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak were the other two battery-powered scooters in this list registering monthly volume of 15,792 units and 13,620 units, respectively.
