Motorcycles have always been the preferred choice of commute for a large section of Indian buyers. The month of February 2024 saw a significant increase in sales of motorcycles in comparison to the same month the previous year. Let us look at the top 10 motorcycles sold across the country in February this year.

Top 10 motorcycles sold in Feb: Splendor takes the crown
Hero Splendor continues to reign India’s motorcycle market by an overwhelming margin of more than 1.3 lakh over the second-best model– Honda Shine. Despite witnessing a marginal YoY fall, Splendor recorded a stupendous monthly volume of 277939 units in February this year.
The next closest model was Honda Shine which registered a volume of 142763 units last month, as compared to 35594 units sold in February last year. This resulted in a huge YoY increase of over 300%. However, the commuter witnessed a marginal 1.71% MoM decline. Both Splendor and Shine are available with 100cc and 125cc iterations.
Top 10 motorcycles sold in Feb: Pulsar, HF Deluxe, Raider record growths
Bajaj offers almost a dozen iterations of Pulsars ranging from 125cc to 250cc. It is undoubtedly one of the most loved sporty commuter motorcycle ranges in the country. Bajaj sold a total of 112544 Pulsars in February this year, leading to a YoY growth of 40.29%. Although the volume dropped by 12.68% as compared to January 2024 when it recorded 112544 units.
Hero HF Deluxe recorded a volume of 76138 units whereas TVS sold 42063 units of Raider last month. This translated to YoY growths of 35% and 38%, respectively.
Top 10 motorcycles sold in Feb: Passion, Unicorn register highest growths
Honda Unicorn recorded the highest YoY growth of 1490% after it registered a volume of 21293 units last month as compared to 1339 units in February last year. On the other hand, Hero recorded a YoY growth of 574.61% for the Shine with a monthly volume of 31302 units.
