Suzuki’s new twin-cylinder setup – the 776cc parallel-twin – has already proved to be popular, powering multiple motorcycles — from a fully-faired sport bike to an adventure tourer. Now, as per a report by Motorcycle.com, there will be two new motorcycles with the same engine platform — GSX-8T and GSX-8TT.
New Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT — More details
As per the leaked documents, the two new Suzuki models – GSX-8T and GSX-8TT – will be powered by the same 776cc, in-line twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine and will also make the same power — 83bhp. However, the engine could have tweaked maps that alter the delivery of power.
That said, the new Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT models could be touring motorcycles with an upright seating position and relaxed foot pegs, similar to adventure bikes, but will be more road-biased and will come with 17-inch wheels. A setup similar to the BMW F 900 XR, Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and Yamaha Tracer 7.
No other details about the new Suzuki models are known at the moment, but expect them to come with USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, alloy wheels, and a TFT instrument cluster. Also, expect the motorcycles to get switchable traction control, ABS, and a quickshifter as standard amongst other electronic aids.
