Suzuki Motorcycle is planning to launch the SP edition of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF motorcycles in India. According to the pictures, the Gixxer SP edition will get new grey paint scheme with checkered flag graphics on the fairing. Along with this, both the SP edition models of the Gixxer will get a red and black coloured seat with the ‘SP’ moniker on the side. Both the motorcycles will also get the red colour strips on alloy wheels.
In terms of power figure, it is expected that the SP edition models will continue to get the same mechanics as the current models. The naked Gixxer and fully-faired Gixxer SF is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which produces 14.6hp of power and 14Nm of peak torque. For better fuel efficiency the motorcycle will feature Suzuki’s Eco Performance (SEP) technology. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
As there are no prices and launch date have not been confirmed, we expect the special edition models to launch during festive season and will be priced slightly higher than the standard Gixxer models.
