Suzuki Access has been one of the best-selling 125cc scooters in India for a long time and continues to woo scooter buyers in India. Its sleek design and strong performance are its key USPs for its strong sales volume. The Access 125 often finds itself in the top three places in the best-selling scooters in India.
However, it hasn’t received any major update in a long time. It seems the Japanese brand will provide a makeover to the Access. A video of two test mules has gone viral on the internet which were spotted on the outskirts of Delhi NCR. The recent YouTube video shows two scooters completely wrapped in black.
Suzuki Access 125 facelift: What new is expected?
Although it is very difficult to predict the changes expected with the black cover wrapped over the body, the test units of the new Access will receive some crucial and noticeable updates over the outgoing model. For instance, the upcoming iteration of Access could get a revised rectangular headlamp cluster. The headlight cowl is slightly larger than the current Access.
Suzuki is most likely to carry forward the same body panels as the current model which look clean and uncluttered. The seat and footboard remain flat as usual while the rear mud-guard looks longer. The updated access will benefit from a storage cubby at the front. Other visual highlights include a single-piece grab rail, exhaust heat shield, and black alloy wheels.
In terms of features, Suzuki is likely to offer the upcoming Access 125 with amenities such as a fully-digital touchscreen infotainment and smartphone connectivity. The scooter will also carry forward the same telescopic front forks and monoshock along with the front disc and rear drum brakes. The updated Suzuki Access 125 will retain the external fuel tank lid as the current model.
Another crucial change is the addition of hazard lights. The current iteration of Access 125 includes features like a kill switch, external fuel filler lid, USB charging port, a one-push central lock system and two luggage hooks.
Suzuki Access 125 facelift: Engine specs
Powering the upcoming Access 125 will be the same 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that is capable of generating 8.6 bhp and 10 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be carried out by a CVT automatic gearbox. Upon launch, Suzuki Access 125 will go up against the likes of Hero Destini 125, Honda Activa 125, and TVS Jupiter 125.
