Royal Enfield’s flagship model, the Super Meteor 650, was caught testing its 2026 model, which is expected to have some crucial updates. The test mule was spied in Spain and the twin-cylinder models play an important role for the company in global markets like Europe and North America. The updated version of the Super Meteor 650 is expected to introduce colour options along with some critical mechanical tweaks.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: What’s new?

First and foremost, this is not the much touted 750cc cruiser as the side panel of the test mule clearly reads as 650cc. Also, based on the spy images, the 750cc version of the Himalayan and the Interceptor sport twin front disc brakes while this one only has a single disc brake. The current version of the Super Meteor 650 has been criticized for its firm rear suspension setup with low travel.

The test mule appears to have a reworked rear suspension while the Showa upside-down front forks could be tweaked further to improve the ride quality, especially for Indian roads. The new updated Super Meteor 650 could come with a brand new all-digital instrument cluster replacing the current semi-digital console that gets an additional navigation Tripper pod. Based on the new spy images, the new digital instrument cluster may have in-built connected features.
