Royal Enfield has officially opened registrations for the 21st edition of its legendary adventure ride, the Himalayan Odyssey 2025. Known as one of the most iconic motorcycling experiences in India, this year’s expedition promises to be as thrilling as ever, offering participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to traverse some of the world’s highest and most challenging terrains. Interested riders can register now at Royal Enfield’s official website.
An Epic Adventure Across Himalayas
Kicking off from Chandigarh on June 28, 2025, the Himalayan Odyssey will span 18 days, covering over 2,600 kilometers and reaching altitudes as high as 19,026 feet above sea level. Seventy riders from across the globe will participate in this unique experience that will take them through the majestic landscapes of Ladakh, Spiti, and Zanskar, including a ride across Umling La, the highest motorable pass in the world.
Participants will be split into two groups—Team Zanskar and Team Spiti—each journeying through different breathtaking routes filled with tarmac roads, rugged trails, water crossings, and mountain twisties. The itinerary includes culturally rich destinations like Padum in Zanskar and Kaza in Spiti, home to Asia’s highest village, Komic. Riders will also pass through Sarchu, famed for its stunning night skies, and Kalpa, offering mesmerizing Himalayan views.

Beyond just a test of endurance and skill, the Himalayan Odyssey is about transformation. As Royal Enfield describes, riders often begin as enthusiasts and return as adventurers, bonded by shared stories and a deep connection with the open road.
Riding With Purpose
Royal Enfield continues to push for environmentally responsible travel through its #LeaveEveryPlaceBetter initiative. Introduced in 2019, the campaign has steadily evolved, promoting sustainable practices like reducing single-use plastics and installing community water purifiers along popular routes to eliminate the need for bottled water.
Camp Kharu, one of the green pit stops along the route, stands as a testament to this vision—encouraging riders to explore thoughtfully while supporting local communities and preserving fragile ecosystems.
With comprehensive logistical, mechanical, and medical support provided throughout the ride, the 2025 Himalayan Odyssey blends adventure, purpose, and sustainability, making it more than just a journey—it’s a movement.
