Royal Enfield has announced sales for the month of December 2023. The Chennai-based bikemaker sold a total of 63,387 units, including exports and imports, in the last month of 2023 which led to a 7% YoY decline. During the same period last year, Enfield recorded a monthly volume of 68,400 units.
Out of the total 63,387 units sold last month, 6,096 units were shipped to overseas markets. This resulted in a 29% YoY drop from 8,579 units exports during the same period last year. Royal Enfield recorded a total sales volume of 6,85,059 units between April and December 2023, resulting in a 11% increase from the corresponding period in the previous year.
During April to December 2023, Enfield exported a total of 54,786 units, a sharp 26% decline from the corresponding period the previous year.

Royal Enfield 350cc sales decline
Royal Enfield sold a total of 55,401 units in the 350cc category in December 2023, which led to a 10% YoY decline. The company registered a monthly volume of 61,223 units in December 2022. Between April and December 2023, Royal Enfield sold a total of 6,11,947 motorcycles which translated to a 13% growth.
In the segments above (411cc, 450cc, and 650cc), Royal Enfield sold a total of 7,986 units in December resulting in a 11% YoY growth. In the same period the previous year, the bikemaker sold 7,117 units.
Enfield has a plethora of models lined up for launch for the next couple of years. The company recently launched the all-new Himalayan 450 last November. The next big launch from Royal Enfield will be the Shotgun 650 which is expected to hit the market by the end of this month.
