Royal Enfield has recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales in Q2, having sold 2,29,496 units, a YoY growth of 13 percent. In comparison, the Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer sold 2,03,451 motorcycles during the same period last year.
When looking at a month-on-month basis, Royal Enfield sold 77,583 motorcycles in the month of August 2023, registering a YoY growth of 11 percent, however, in September, Royal Enfield’s overall sales saw a decline of 4 percent. In October, Royal Enfield’s domestic sales stood at 80,958 units, a YoY growth of 5.7 percent.
Royal Enfield’s updated products like the Classic 350 remain the best-seller, while new products such as the Meteor 350 and the Hunter are good sellers for the brand. Now, with the launch of the new Himalayan 450 slated towards the end of the month, Royal Enfield’s sales are set to see growth in the coming months.
The company recently unveiled the Himalayan 450 at EICMA 2023, alongside the all-electric Himalayan prototype. The company has plans for electric motorcycles as well and the first product should be launched in the market soon.
