Royal Enfield Meteor marked the beginning of a new chapter in the brand’s 350cc lineup with an all-new engine and chassis. The bikemaker has updated the Meteor lineup by adding a new Aurora variant. Priced at Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), this new mid-spec trim is slotted between Stellar and Supernova trims.

The new Aurora variant brings new colours and features to the mix. It comes with three colour options including Aurora Blue, Aurora Green, and Aurora Black. The new Aurora range comes with a unique blend of retro-inspired elements such as the spoke wheels, tube tyres, chrome-finish parts including engine, exhaust system and internal components.

In terms of features, the Aurora variant comes equipped with a deluxe touring seat, Tripper navigation, LED headlamps, and aluminium switch cubes. With the addition of this new variant, the Meteor 350 promises to appeal to those customers who are looking for a retro-looking ‘easy cruiser’ from Royal Enfield.

Royal Enfield has also taken the opportunity to make some minor changes to other variants of Meteor 350. The Stellar range now gets the Tripper navigation device as a standard fitment, while the LED headlight and aluminium switch cubes have also been added to the top-spec Supernova variant. Besides, the Fireball trim now comes with Elegant Black as a standard colour option.

That said, apart from the cosmetic and feature updates, no mechanical changes have been made to the Meteor lineup. The cruiser is powered by a 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The Fireball variant is priced at Rs 2.06 lakh, the Stellar at Rs 2.16 lakh, and the Supernova at Rs 2.30 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Chennai).
