
Royal Enfield has increased the prices of its motorcycle range in India. The hike in price range starts from Rs 1,100 to Rs 3,600, varying from model to model. This is the second time the motorcycle maker has hiked the prices of the models this year. The company has announced details of price increase for nine cities across the country till now.
The two-wheeler maker is also focusing on international markets by opening its dealerships in countries like Ireland, Dubai, Paris, London and Madrid. Earlier, the company had announced to introduce two new models soon. The motorcycles will be based on a new platform, which might be in the range of 250cc-750cc displacement. The company is also working on a 750cc cruiser motorcycle, which is expected to be launched internationally later this year. As part of its strategy, the two-wheeler maker will first launch its motorcycles in major cities and later across the country.
Royal Enfield has recorded a growth of 32% in the total sales in August 2016. In domestic as well as exports segment, the company sold 55,721 units against 42,360 units as compared to August 2015. In the first five months of the FY 2016-2017, Royal Enfield has recorded a growth of 35%, they sold 2,56,582 units against 1,89,733 units as compared to the same period.
