Retro motorcycles are always in demand, as riders of all ages are attracted to the classic look. Leading the way is Royal Enfield’s Classic 350, but today, we look at the worthy alternatives of the Hunter 350, which recently received an update. The Hunter 350 is the legendary two-wheeler company’s most affordable model and is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
Royal Enfield made some important tweaks like a new rear suspension setup, taller ground clearance, a slip-assist clutch, LED headlights and Type-C fast charging. The bike offers three colours — Rio White, Tokyo Black, and London Red. Here are the five Hunter 350 alternatives worth checking out.
Royal Enfield Bullet 350: Rs 1.76 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh
We kickstart with sibling rivalry, and the Bullet 350 is a good option if you want to stick to the Royal Enfield family. The Bullet 350 stars from Rs 1.76 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh, ex-showroom, and is equipped with a dual-channel anti-lock braking system and has a 300 mm front disc and a 270 mm rear disc.

It has the traditional instrument cluster with an analogue dial and a USB as a standard feature. Like the Hunter, the Bullet is powered by a 349 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
TVS Ronin: Rs 1.35 lakh to Rs 1.73 lakh
The Ronin has a smaller engine than the Hunter 350 with a 225.9 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, but with an output of 20.1 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm at 3,750 rpm, it goes toe-to-toe with the Royal Enfield. Like the Hunter 350, the Ronin rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and dual-channel ABS.

It has adjustable levers, two ride modes — Rain and Urban, all LED lights including indicators and an all-digital instrument cluster, which can be paired via Bluetooth connectivity and has a voice assist command.
Jawa 42: Rs 1.73 lakh to Rs 1.98 lakh
The Jawa 42 is powered by the 295 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with an output of 27 bhp and 26.84 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It sports a twin exhaust and dual-channel ABS. The Jawa 42 uses a combination of 18-inch alloy wheels in front and 17-inch at the rear.

It gets a unique design with plenty of blacked-out parts like the handlebars, engine, alloy wheels and headlight visor. It is equipped with an assist and slipper clutch and a fully digital instrument console.
Triumph Speed T4: Rs 1.98 lakh to Rs 2.03 lakh
Triumph Motorcycles has updated the Speed T4 with new dual-tone colours, which cost Rs 2.03 lakh, while the single tone is Rs 1.98 lakh, ex-showroom. It gets a 398.15 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with 30.6 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 36 Nm at 5,000 rpm.

It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. Packed with dual-channel ABS and 17-inch alloy wheels, it offers an LED headlight, an LCD display and a best-in-class 16,000 km service interval.
Honda CB350 RS: Rs 1.94 lakh to Rs 1.97 lakh
The Honda retro motorcycle, the CB350 RS, is available in two trims — the DLX and the DLX Pro. The bike gets a 348.36 cc with an output of 21 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 30 Nm at 3,000 rpm. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox and an analogue meter with a multifunctional LCD screen that shows the gear and eco indicator, time and fuel gauge.

The CB350 RS also gets traction control and optional features like a USB charger, Bluetooth and navigation. It has all LED lights and has 19-inch alloy wheels in front and 17-inch alloy wheels at the rear.
