We know Royal Enfield is testing multiple motorcycles and one of them is surely the 750cc Himalayan. The motorcycle was seen testing in Europe and now, it has been snapped testing in India. The latest images show a few more design details of the Himalayan 750 compared to the older images. Let’s take a more detailed look.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 — Design and features
The new images show the design inspiration drawn from the Himalayan 450 — a bulky fuel tank, a narrow tail section, a round LED headlight with tall fairing, and the tail lamp integrated with the turn signals. The riding position is also upright and the upswept exhaust sits neatly along the bodyline, away from obstacles off-road.
In terms of features, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 gets USD forks – most probably Showa units with adjustability – a monoshock at the rear, wire-spoke wheels, and disc brakes at both ends with a dual rotor setup in the front. The motorcycle will get dual-channel ABS and is expected to get electronic nannies in the form of traction control and riding modes.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 — Engine specifications
The motorcycle will sport a 750cc twin-cylinder engine and the unit is expected to make over 50bhp. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield has not revealed details of the engine specifications of the new 750cc plant. The same engine is expected to power the Interceptor as well, which has been spied testing with new components and suspension setup.
When launched, the Royal Enfield Himalayan will have no direct rival and if the company manages to get the pricing right – like it has always done – the Himalayan 750 could be a game changer in the segment in India and globally.
