Royal Enfield is testing the new 750cc platform and we have seen multiple pictures of various models, but what has really sparked interest is the adventure bike — the Himalayan 750. The motorcycle was seen testing abroad in many occasions and now, it’s being tested in India in Leh.
The latest pictures of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 are from its high altitude tests and what makes it more interesting is the company’s senior management riding the motorcycle. Here are more details.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: What features to expect?

From the pictures, the design of the Himalayan 750 is evident — it gets a tall fairing, a round headlight, a split seat setup, and a high-mounted exhaust, giving the motorcycle a purposeful look and function. The rear tail lamp is also integrated into the turn signals, similar to the current Himalayan 450.
In terms of equipment, the Himalayan 750 gets USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, wire-spoke wheels with most likely a 19 front and a 17-inch rear wheel. The Himalayan will also be the first Royal Enfield to get a twin disc setup for the front. Electronic aids will include switchable dual-channel AbS, ride modes, and traction control. Instrumentation is taken care of by a TFT display.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: Engine specifications

This is an interesting bit as the new Himalayan will be powered by a 750cc twin-cylinder air and oil-cooled engine paired to a six-speed gearbox. There are no details about the numbers, but expect the motorcycle to make over 50bhp and 60Nm of torque.
These numbers put the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan in the territory of well-established middle-weight motorcycles from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and even KTM to name a few. Looking at the development stage, Royal Enfield could unveil the motorcycle later this year, most probably at EICMA.
