Adventure touring enthusiasts have reason to celebrate, as Royal Enfield now offers wired spoke tubeless rims for the Himalayan 450. Owners of the current Himalayan can upgrade to these tyres for Rs 12,424 (including taxes), while new buyers will find this option available throughout the lineup. The pricing for the Himalayan’s wired spoke tubeless tyres begins at Rs 2.96 lakh, ex-showroom.

Royal Enfield Himalayan tubeless rims:  What to expect?

Royal Enfield, previously providing wired spoke tyres for export, is now introducing them to the Indian market. The tubeless spoke rims bring several benefits for adventurers, allowing them to navigate challenging terrains with ease. In case of a puncture, repairs can be made swiftly with a simple patch, without the need to remove the tyre from the rim. Tubeless tyres enable riders to maintain low pressure for improved traction without risk of damage.

What is interesting to note is that on Royal Enfield’s official app in the Make it Yours (MiY) option, the tubeless spoke wheels are priced at Rs 11,000. This may come across as a bit confusing but this is the price Royal Enfield is charging for a new Himalayan motorcycle. This app also showcases all the official accessories available for the Himalayan like windshields, panniers, adventure seats for both the rider and the passenger or a low seat and protection gear like engine guards.

The Himalayan 450 continues to be powered by the Sherpa 452 cc single-cylinder liquid 39.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Himalayan is also equipped with switchable ABS, ride-by-wire with ride modes, a USB port and an LED headlight.
