Royal Enfield will soon step into the world of electric vehicles (EVs) with the Flying Flea range of electric motorcycles. The first prospective model under this range, named C6 broke cover at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy last November. Still at a concept stage, the Flying Flea C6 will make its official debut in India tomorrow.
Earlier this month, B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, confirmed that the company will launch the production version of Flying Flea C6 that will hit the Indian market by March 2026. The name “Flying Flea” is a homage to the machine used by the British Army during World War 2 which were “airdropped” by parachutes behind enemy lines. Ahead of its debut tomorrow, let us look at some key highlights of the Flying Flea C6.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Platform
Codenamed Electrik01, this electric motorcycle will be built on Royal Enfield’s newly developed “L” platform which will also serve as the foundation for the brand’s future electric models. The Flying Flea range of models are being co-developed by Enfield alongside Spanish electric two-wheeler company, Stark Future SL.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Design
Visually, the battery-powered Enfield clearly draws inspiration from the original Flying Flea, featuring a minimalist design with a slim, low-slung profile, round headlamps, girder front forks, and an elongated fender. This isn’t the first time the Flying Flea has influenced Enfield’s designs. Back in the mid-2000s, it served as a key inspiration for the development of the Classic 350 and Classic 500.
Compared to modern Enfield models, the electric bike appears leaner and more compact rather than bulky. Notably, the pre-production version is a single-seater, much like the original Flying Flea. Other distinctive elements include an aluminum swingarm, alloy wheels, round mirrors, and relatively thin tyres.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Features
The Flying Flea C6 will come equipped with LED lighting and LED turn signals. Additionally, it features a fully digital TFT circular instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. While the full list of features is yet to be unveiled, the modernized Flying Flea is expected to offer amenities such as traction control and multiple ride modes.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Expected price & Future models
A market launch is still more than a year away, but we expect Royal Enfield to price the Flying Flea C6 at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Post the C6, Enfield will launch multiple other models in the all-electric Flying Flea range like the S6 scrambler and possibly a battery-powered Himalayan in the foreseeable future.
