Royal Enfield is shifting its attention to the 650 cc range. The Himalayan 650 was recently revealed through spy images, and the latest addition, a 650 cc scrambler, has been spotted during testing. This new model, potentially named the Interceptor Bear 650, may make its debut at the 2024 Motoverse, Royal Enfield’s annual three-day event in Goa this November.
Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650: What is it?
The test mule was camouflaged, hence, the tank isn’t clearly visible, but the dual-tone red and black paint scheme could be seen. The Interceptor Bear 650 gets an offroad handlebar with an additional connected mid-bar. The scrambler gets dual-purpose knobby tyres and sits on 19-inch in front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels.
The new 650 cc motorcycle borrows the upside-down front forks from the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650 and based on the images, it sports thicker and chunkier twin rear shocks. The USD forks also differentiate it from the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 which come with traditional front suspension. The Scrambler will be the first 650 cc in the Royal Enfield portfolio to get a two-in-one single exhaust set-up.Â
The 650 Interceptor Bear gets the classic teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round LED headlight with sleek angular indicators and a clean circular tail lamp with a chrome ring around it. The Scrambler gets an instrument console that looks similar to the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650.
