R Madhavan’s motorcycle collection: From Brixton Cromwell 1200 to Honda Gold Wing

The actor became the first Indian to own Brixton Cromwell 1200. Here’s a look at his exotic bike collection.

Popular actor R Madhavan known for his versatile movies added another feather to his cap by becoming the first Indian to own the Brixton Cromwell 1200. As the Austrian company officially began deliveries, Madhavan shared a video on social media, expressing his excitement as he received the Brixton Cromwell 1200. 

The Cromwell 1200 gets a 1222cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine with an output of 82 bhp and 108 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The company launched the motorcycle last year and is priced at Rs 7.84 lakh, ex-showroom. Beyond this new acquisition, he is known for being a biking enthusiast with a premium motorcycle collection.

Madhavan is known as a biking enthusiast and owns a premium motorcycle collection. He was elated when he got his hands on the Cromwell 1200 and said, “As someone who truly appreciates craftsmanship and timeless style, this motorcycle feels like an extension of my personality. I couldn’t be happier to be the first Brixton owner in India, especially with this one-of-a-kind model that features a special paint scheme and my son Vedant’s name inscribed on it. It makes this motorcycle even more personal and meaningful to me.”

  • Yamaha V-Max

Madhavan is a proud owner of the iconic Yamaha V-Max, which was a gift by Sanjay Gupta back in 2013. The muscle cruiser is powered by a 1679 cc liquid-cooled V4 powertrain with an output of 197 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 167 Nm at 6500 rpm.

  • Indian Roadmaster

The Indian Roadmaster was purchased by Madhavan in 2017 and is powered by the massive 1890 cc Thunderstroke 116 engine. While Indian Motorcycle doesn’t disclose the horsepower, the bike delivers a torque of 138.9 Nm.  The motorcycle was officially launched in India and was priced over Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Gold Wing is a legendary cruiser that is available in India. It is powered by a 1,833 liquid-cooled Flat 6 engine with an output of 124.7 bhp at 5500 rpm and 170 Nm at 4500 rpm. It comes packed with features like airbag, all digital display with navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control and different ride modes. Currently, the Gold Wing is priced at Rs 39.20 lakh, ex-showroom.

  • Triumph Rocket 3

The Triumph Rocket has the largest production engine, the 2,458 cc with an output of 179.5 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 225 Nm at 4,000 rpm mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is currently available in the Indian market at Rs 21.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
