Production kicks off for Suzuki e-Access: Here’s everything to expect

The Suzuki e-Access is powered by a motor delivering 5.5 bhp (4.1 kW) and 15 Nm of torque, and it offers three ride modes.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has commenced production of its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, at its Gurgaon manufacturing facility in Haryana. First unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the e-Access marks Suzuki’s entry into India’s electric two-wheeler market, aiming to deliver a robust and reliable solution for daily urban commuting.

Suzuki e-Access: Battery technology

The Suzuki e-Access is equipped with the brand’s proprietary e-Technology, featuring a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery acclaimed for its longevity and superior thermal stability. Key highlights include regenerative braking, a maintenance-free belt drive, and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e), offering Eco, Ride A, Ride B, and Reverse modes for versatile riding experiences. The battery and components undergo rigorous durability tests, including submersion, extreme temperatures, drops, vibrations, puncture, and crush tests to ensure reliability.

Suzuki e-Access: Specifications

The e-Access motor produces 5.5 bhp (4.1 kW) and 15 Nm of torque. According to Suzuki, the e-Access offers a range of 95 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 71 kmph. With standard charging, the electric scooter charges from 0 to 100% in 6 hours and 42 minutes, while reaching 80% takes just 4 hours and 30 minutes. For those needing a quicker turnaround, the fast charging option powers the battery from 0 to 100% in only 2.2 hours, and from 0 to 80% in just 1 hour and 12 minutes.

In terms of dimensions, the e-Access is 1860 mm in length, 715 mm in width, 1135 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1305 mm. It has a ground clearance of 160 mm and a seat height of 765 mm. 

Suzuki e-Access: Features

The e-Access is equipped with an all-digital instrument cluster that reads out information like a speedometer, trip meter, ride modes, clock, battery indicator, etc. It also comes with a USB charging port with a cubby hole to keep your device safe. The e-Access has two storage spaces, one is the lockable space in the apron and the other is the underseat storage space. 

The new e-Access will take on the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, Ola Electric and Honda e-Activa.
