Ola Electric will be taking its next big leap in the world of battery-powered mobility tomorrow with the launch of its first motorcycle— Roadster X. First showcased in 2023 alongside other future electric bikes, production for Roadster X kickstarted last month at Ola’s Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Ahead of its launch, the Bengaluru-based has shared multiple teasers on its social media handles.
In the latest teaser, the short video invites everyone to join the launch of the Roadster X virtually which begins from 10:30 am on 5 February. Earlier, Ola revealed that the Roadster range will be offered in three derivatives: Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro, with prices ranging from Rs 75,000 to Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ola Roadster X: Design & Features
Like the Ola Electric scooters, the Roadster X carries a futuristic design with a minimalist theme and edgy panels. The battery pack is housed underneath the faux fuel tank which gets some storage space to keep knick knacks. Other visual highlights include a sleek rectangular LED headlamp cluster with an integrated DRL, a flat single-piece seat, and a single-piece pillion grab rail. The overall design feels familiar to a contemporary entry-level commuter motorcycle.

In terms of features, Ola Roadster X comes equipped with features such as a 4.3-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, taillight, and turn indicators; cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation (Ola Maps), reverse mode, cruise control, OTA updates, a digital key, and DIY mode. Safety features on offer include tyre pressure monitor, geo and time fencing, tow and theft detection, emergency SOS and find your vehicle.
Ola Roadster X: Hardware & Powertrain specs
When it comes to hardware, Ola Roadster X is underpinned by a double-down tube chassis which sits on conventional telescopic front forks and a double coil rear suspension. Braking duties are handled by a front disc and a rear drum brake. The electric motorcycle rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Powering the Ola Roadster X is a 11 kW electric motor which pumps out 14.75 bhp. The Roadster X can reach a top speed of 124 kmph and promises a 0-40 kmph sprint in 2.8 seconds. The Roadster X gets the choice of three battery packs: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. The entry-level 2.5kWh variant has a top speed of 105 kmph while Ola claims a range of 117 km on a full charge. The range-topping Roadster X with the 4.5kWh battery pack has a top speed of 124 kmph with a range of 200 km.
