Ola Electric launched its first motorcycle — Roadster X — in February this year at a starting price of Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom). However, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturing startup has failed to deliver a single unit of the electric motorcycle to its customers. Now, a new report reveals that buyers might have to wait a bit longer to get hold of the Ola Roadster X.
According to IANS, Ola Electric has delayed the shipment of the Roadster X once again. This is the third occasion when deliveries of the electric bike have been delayed. After launching on February 5, deliveries of the Roadster X were supposed to begin in March which didn’t happen.Â
Last month, Ola filed an exchange that production for Roadster X has commenced at the Tamil Nadu-based Futurefactory and deliveries of the motorcycle will commence soon. Now, the company has managed to miss the deadline once again. In a stock exchange filing, the company informed that deliveries would now begin in May.

Ola Electric is already tangled in crosshairs over multiple reasons, the most notable being inflated sales number for February 2025. In a letter to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ola Electric admitted that it added 1,395 bookings of the Roadster X to the February sales data despite not a single vehicle being delivered to designated buyers. This move has also drawn significant attention from regulatory authorities.
