Ola showcased big ambitions in the two-wheeler segment by unveiling four electric motorcycle concepts last year. As big as the news was, it quickly went hush, until patent images showed up and teasers by Ola. The latest was a teaser of the motorcycle that showcased the headlights, while also revealing a few other details.
As a quick refresher, Ola showcased four motorcycles last year — a roadster, adventure tourer, cruiser, and a futuristic sportbike Ola calls the Diamond Head. While there is no news of the others, the roadster seems to be the motorcycle Ola will launch first.
Ola Roadster — What we know so far?

So far, based on the teaser images, and the concept unveiled, the electric motorcycle from Ola will feature a relaxed riding position owing to the wide handlebar and the relatively approachable seat height. The
motorcycle will feature a split seat design and the headlight set-up looks similar to the S1 range of scooters, but with a horizontal DRL. The blinkers could be housed in the same headlight unit itself.
That said, the motorcycle will feature traditional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear, according to the patent images. Also, the electric bike will opt for a single disc brake setup at the front instead of the twin setup from the concept. The motorcycle is likely to get dual-channel ABS, as it gets disc brakes at both ends.

Moving on to other components, the Ola electric bike could ride on 17-inch wheels and will get a foot-operated rear brake. There will also be a TFT dash, most likely the same unit carried over from the S1 Pro model, but with a different experience. Expect a host of connectivity features as well, since they are already on offer with Ola’s scooter range.
What we don’t know as of now is the battery specifications and range. It will likely get a larger battery pack compared to the scooter with more range, however, more details on this will be revealed on August 15.
