Oben Electric stepped into the world of electric two-wheelers in 2022 with the launch of Rorr electric motorcycle. The company launched a more affordable version of the same named Rorr EZ in November last year. And now, the electric two-wheeler startup is gearing up to launch the next generation Rorr EZ.
The new Oben Rorr EZ has been teased ahead of its launch slated for 5 August. Although the company hasn’t hinted at the changes, we doubt there’ll be any major generational updates in such a short period.
2025 Oben Rorr EZ: Updated electronics
Oben states that the new Rorr EZ will integrate advanced tech and redefined rider-centric features. This suggests, the updated Rorr EZ will benefit from new features most likely electronic rider aids. We can expect features such as traction control, ABS, cruise control, and ride modes added to the equipment. The Rorr EZ already gets connectivity and rider aids such as including Geo-Fencing, Theft Protection, Unified Brake Assist (UBA), and Drive Assist System (DAS).
2025 Oben Rorr EZ: Specs & Features
The current Oben Rorr EZ is available in three trims priced at Rs 99,999, Rs 1.20 lakh, and Rs 1.30 lakh (all ex-showroom), respectively. The main difference between the three variants is the battery sizes. The base trim is offered with a 2.6 kWh battery that claims a range of 110 km. The mid-spec trim gets a 3.4 kWh battery that promises a single-charge range of 140 km. Lastly, the top-spec trim gets a 4.4 kWh battery that returns a range of 175 kWh on a single charge.
Moreover, 80 percent charging time through a fast charger also varies from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. All variants are powered by the same 7.5kW motor that can propel the Rorr EZ to a top speed of 95kmph and produce a torque output of 52Nm. The zero to 40kmph spring timing stands at 3.3 seconds which should make it a fun-to-ride city commuter.
In terms of hardware, the motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc-drum combination. Convenience features offered in Oben Rorr EZ include a colour LED instrument panel and LED lighting.
