Yamaha has unveiled the updated XSR 125 for 2025, giving the motorcycle a few important updates. The modern retro motorcycle retains its design that has made it popular globally and the updated Yamaha XSR 125 will go on sale in the UK market soon.
2025 Yamaha XSR 125 — What are the updates?
The most important update is to the engine — the motorcycle is powered by the same 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit, but has been updated to meet the latest Euro 5+ norms. The engine makes 14.8bhp and 11.5Nm of torque with the help of a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also features Yamaha’s variable valve actuation (VVA) technology.
Yamaha has also unveiled a special variant of the XSR 125 called the Legacy Edition, which has a special paint scheme inspired by motorcycles from the 1970s. The new Yamaha XSR 125 gets USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels, and disc brakes at both ends.
In terms of its India launch, the Yamaha XSR 155 makes more sense and Yamaha initially backed away owing to the price-sensitive market. However, as per various reports in recent times, Yamaha could launch the XSR 155 in the Indian market soon, as this segment has a massive demand in India.
