The Royal Enfield Himalayan once stood by itself, with no real competition to itself. However, KTM soon launched the updated 390 Adventure and now, Triumph, with the new Scrambler 400 XC. The motorcycle addressed one key concern the Scrambler 400 X faced — off-roading capabilities. Now, with concern sorted, it’s time to look at competition — the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Triumph Scrambler 400 XC vs Royal Enfield Himalayan — An overview

The new Scrambler 400 XC is similar to the familiar Scrambler 400 X we know but gets some updates to its wheels, which are now tubeless spokes. That said, it carries the same design as the Scrambler 400 X, but gets a high-mounted front fender and gets extra protection for the engine, resulting in a motorcycle that’s 5kg heavier than the Scrambler 400 X.

The Himalayan needs no introduction and the motorcycle is not based on any other model as well. The Himalayan gets similar styling with a high front fender, round headlight, an up-swept exhaust, and wire spoke wheels. The Himalayan is much larger in terms of dimensions, while also weighing more than the Scrambler 400 XC.
