The new KTM 690 Enduro and 690 Supermoto have been spied testing in recent times. The two motorcycles were discontinued from the Austrian manufacturer’s European portfolio as they did not comply with the strict Euro-IV emission norms. Now, as the new models have been snapped testing, it is clear that KTM is all set to introduce the two motorcycles again. One of the most prominent changes on the new KTM 690 Enduro and 690 Supermoto as seen in the spy images issued by MCN, apart from the engine, of course, in the design. The front fairing on both these motorcycles have been trimmed and now, the bikes look more raw and off-road friendly. Even the front cowl of the motorcycles see some revisions. The seating also looks to have been redesigned and hence, it might offer a bit more comfort. Another significant visual change is the new bigger exhaust set up to make the bike meet Euro-IV emission norms. The headlamp unit looks the same as before and the turning winkers along with the tail lamp have LEDs. The two motorcycles come assisted with a 12-litre fuel tank which is located under the seat.

The new KTM 690 Enduro and 690 Supermoto, both source power from a 690cc, single cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission. The motor is expected to churn out power and torque close to 73 hp and 70 Nm respectively. The front suspension system of the spied KTM Enduro looks to be from the house of WP and it can have a travel of close to 300mm when compared to the 250mm travel on the previous model. The rear suspension set up is also likely to see some tweaks and the company might retune or change the set up entirely in the favour of better off-road capabilities.
As far as India launch is concerned, there is no word yet officially from KTM. We believe that there is a very little chance that the new KTM Enduro and Supermoto will be introduced in India.
