The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will see a big leap in terms of design and capabilities. Multiple spy pictures have given us a fair idea of what to expect in terms of design, however, a new brochure leak has revealed more details about the 390 Adventure in regards to the variants, electronics, and hardware.

Upcoming KTM 390 Adventure variants and features

The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will be sold as two variants — X and R. This is the first time the R version will be available with the 390 Adventure. Let’s start with the base variant, the 390 Adventure X. This version will get non-adjustable USD forks with 200mm of travel, an LCD dash, regular dual-channel ABS, and will sport a saddle height of 825mm. The Adventure X will also get a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear tyre with alloy wheels.

Moving on to the higher-spec R version, this variant takes everything a notch higher. The suspension is adjustable and has a travel of 230mm, while riding on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. This has also resulted in a higher seat height of 885mm.

In terms of features, the 390 Adventure R will get a TFT dash with phone connectivity, cornering ABS, traction control, ride modes, ABS modes, cruise control, and more. We can expect a bidirectional quickshifter as well as part of the standard equipment. Clearly, the upcoming 390 Adventure R is the more off-road-focused version compared to the X.

In terms of power, the 390 Adventure range will have the same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine from the 390 Duke, which makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The new 390 Adventure X and the 390 Adventure R could be showcased at EICMA, scheduled to happen soon.
