Jawa has released a teaser for the new Jawa 42 on a social media platform. The animated video puts an end to all speculation, confirming that Classic Legends will launch the Jawa 42 on September 3. Below are the latest details for the new Jawa 42.
Jawa 42: New Engine
The current Jawa 42 is equipped with a 294.72 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 27 bhp and 26.84 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. Jawa plans to retain this model while introducing a ‘new’Â Jawa 42 featuring a more refined 334 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from the Jawa 350. This new variant is expected to include additional mechanical upgrades such as a new platform.
Positioned as a more premium option, the new Jawa 42 may come standard with dual-channel ABS and a digital instrument console. The 334 cc engine produces 22 bhp and 28.1 Nm of torque, also paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Depending on the variant, the new Jawa 42 will offer both spoke and alloy wheel options.
Current Jawa 42: Price and Variants
Classic Legends has recently launched the Jawa 42 update, starting at Rs 1.73 lakh, ex-showroom. The Jawa 42 now features an enhanced J-Panther 294.72 cc engine that offers greater refinement, reduced NVH levels, and better heat management. This updated neo-retro motorcycle is available in 14 colours in both gloss and matte finishes. For a fresher and more dynamic appearance, Jawa has rendered the engine gearbox area, frame, front forks, and twin exhaust in black. The new Jawa 42 to compete against the Royal Enfield Classic, Honda H’ness CB350 and even the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
