Jawa is flooding social media with the new Jaw 42 teasers ahead of its official launch on September 3. The latest teaser reveals the side silhouette and the rear design of the motorcycle. Here are the latest details of the new Jawa 42.
Jawa 42: New design details
The rear design features a naked look with side or split grab rails, twin angular exhaust pipes, and twin rear suspensions. It boasts a sleek teardrop-shaped fuel tank adorned with a Jawa sticker and alloy wheels. The foot pegs’ positioning suggests a riding stance that is more sporty than upright. Additionally, the teaser indicates that Jawa has introduced a newly designed seat.
Jawa 42: Hardware and Features
The new Jawa 42 is equipped with twin front forks and could be available in both spoke and alloy wheels along with front and rear disc brakes. It is expected to be based on a new frame with a bigger engine. The new Jawa 42 gets a digital instrument console, all LED illumination including the indicators and could get a dual-channel ABS as standard. The 6-speed gearbox is expected to get an assist and slipper clutch.
Jawa 42: Engine
Jawa is replacing the current Jawa 42’s 294.72 cc single cylinder liquid cooled powertrain with 334 cc but the output is still unknown. It could be tuned like the Jawa 350 that produces 22.26 bhp and 28.1 Nm or like the Perak churning out 29.4 bhp with 30 Nm.
