Starting with the Honda Dio, the name has been around for a long time – since 2001 – and the 125cc version was introduced in 2023 to cater to a highly competitive market. With the recent update, Honda has retained the styling that made the Dio a success in India. Honda has also retained the running components such as the suspension setup and braking hardware, while the scooter is offered in five new colours: Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Sports Yellow, Pearl Igneous Black, and Imperial Red.

The TVS Ntorq gained popularity quickly after its launch in 2018, and has become the go-to choice. The Ntorq has a distinctively sporty design compared to the Dio 125 and is available with a standard powertrain – 125cc engine – unlike the Honda Dio, but has several sub-variants. In terms of equipment, both scooters are similarly matched. They both get alloy wheels, a disc brake at the front, a drum brake for the rear, and a digital instrument console with phone connectivity.
