After teasing the new CB650R with the e-clutch technology, Honda has launched the street naked in India, priced at Rs 9.60 lakh, ex-showroom. The 2025 Honda CB650R with the e-clutch is open for bookings across all BigWing dealerships, with deliveries slated to commence by the last week of May 2025.
New Honda CB650R e-clutch — What’s special?
On the design front, there are absolutely no changes and the new CB650R e-clutch model looks identical to its manual sibling. It retains its minimalist styling with a touch of retro design with the round headlight and a short exhaust muffler. The only giveaway is the extra bit of engine casing on the right-hand side of the motorcycle that houses the new clutch system.
On the hardware front, it retains the USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, TFT instrument cluster with phone connectivity and more. On the hardware section, nothing has changed.
Powering the new Honda CB650R is the familiar 649cc, inline-four cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 94bhp and 62.3Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The gearbox is the highlight of the motorcycle as it allows for automatic shifts, while there is also a manual control.
