New Ather Rizta is value for money: Price and variants explained

Ather has seen massive success with the Rizta, which accounts for a huge chunk of the company’s EV sales. Capitalising on its popularity, Ather has now launched a new variant of the Rizta, called the S 3.7, which brings the total variants to four. If you’re planning to buy a new Ather Rizta, here are the variants explained.

Ather Rizta variants explained

The Ather Rizta primarily comes in two trims — S and Z. The major difference between them is the battery pack and features on offer; however, with the introduction of the new variant, customers can mix and match what they need.

The two battery packs on offer are 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh, which have a claimed IDC range of 123km and 159km, respectively. The Rizta 2.9kWh variants take 6 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent, and takes 8 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0-100 percent. The 3.7kWh variants use a faster charger, which takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent, while 0–100 percent takes 5 hours and 45 minutes.

Next, are the features on offer — the S model gets an LCD instrument console with phone connectivity, telescopic front suspension, a disc brake at the front, and LED lighting, while the higher-spec Z variant gets a TFT instrument console, Ather’s Magic Twist, and traction control. Ather also offers a Pro Pack for all the versions for an extra price that unlocks more features.
