Moto Morini unveils Himalayan 450 rival

The 450cc adventure motorcycle category is getting hotter, as there is a new contender in the segment — the Moto Morini Alltrhike 450. Unveiled for the global market, the Alltrhike 450 will directly rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the CFMoto 450 amongst others. So lets take a closer look at what the Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 has to offer.

Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 — What is it?

Moto Morini, for those who don’t know, is an Italian motorcycle maker and in India, they sell two models: the X-Cape and the Seiemmezzo, both 650cc twins. Now, with the world moving away from multi-cylinder motorcycles to smaller displacement singles and twins for adventure, Moto Morini thinks it has just what customers want.

Enter, the Moto Morini Alltrhike 450. First showcased at EICMA last year, the company has started taking preorders for the motorcycle already, with deliveries set to commence in September.

Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 — Features and engine specifications

The Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 is built around a steel chassis and is suspended by fully-adjustable USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle rides on a 21-18 tyre setup with spoke wheels, disc brakes at both ends, and LED lighting, while the motorcycle itself tips the scale at 190kg.

The Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 gets 208mm of suspension travel at the front and 190mm of travel at the rear. The seat height stands at 840mm while its ground clearance is a decent 215mm. The list of features includes traction control, dual-channel ABS, navigation, a charging port, and an adjustable windscreen — decent.

In terms of power, the Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 uses a 450cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that makes 44bhp and 42Nm of torque with the help of a 6-speed gearbox. This puts it right in the territory of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the CFMoto 450, while it also knocks on the door of the KTM 390 Adventure R and the upcoming BMW F 450 GS.

Moto Morini launching the Alltrhike 450 in India is likely, because the brand has two motorcycles on sale here, like we mentioned earlier, and with CFMoto making a comeback, it could give buyers a wider choice.
